Step One

Ensure your iPhone is on iOS 6.0 to iOS 6.1 then perform a backup of your iPhone before proceeding. If you are not on iOS 6.0 – iOS 6.1 you can find firmware download links below.

Step Two

Create a folder called Evasi0n on your desktop and download the Evasi0n utility into the folder. You can find download links for Evasi0n below.

Step Three
Double click the Evasi0n dmg file from the Pwnage folder on your desktop to mount it.

Step Four
Drag the Evasi0n application from the mounted dmg into the Pwnage folder on your desktop.

Step Five
Right click (or Control+Click) the Evasi0n app icon then select Open from the contextual menu to launch the application. If prompted to confirm, click the Open button again.

Step Six
Ensure your iPhone is connected to the computer via a USB cable if you haven’t already. Make sure iTunes is closed.

Step Seven
Remove any lock screen passcodes on your device then click the Jailbreak button to begin.

Step Eight
The app will retrieve information from the device to generate jailbreak data, inject stage 1 jailbreak data, reboot the device, wait for the device to be ready, inject stage 2 jailbreak data, upload Cydia, and upload the Cydia packages list.

Step Nine
You will then be asked to unlock your device and tap the new ‘Jailbreak’ app icon. It is imperative that you only tap the icon ONCE. The app will open and immediately close.

Your iPhone will now reboot with Cydia on the SpringBoard!

Double click the newly created evasi0n-win folder to open it.

Right click the Evasi0n exe icon then select Run as Administrator from the contextual menu to launch the application.

Ensure your iPhone is connected to the computer via a USB cable if you haven’t already. Make sure iTunes is closed.

Step Seven

Step 1: Download the latest version of Sn0wbreeze for Windows and save the file in a familiar location on your machine. Download iOS 6.0.1 firmware for your device.

Step 2: Connect the relevant iOS device to the computer with the supplied USB cable.

Step 3: Run the Sn0wbreeze application on your Windows PC.

Note: Windows 8 users will need to first download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5, steps for which are detailed here.

Step 4: Click the next blue arrow button to proceed. Select Browse for an IPSW to point Sn0wbreeze at the relevant firmware file for your device (where you downloaded at step1). Make sure that the Sn0wbreeze program doesn’t through up errors and is able to detect and verify your device.

Step 5: Select the Simple Mode option from the available list of modes and continue by clicking the next button to build a custom firmware. Sn0wbreeze will work its magic to create a custom built firmware file. When finished, the firmware file will be placed on the Desktop.

Step 6: The next step is to restore this custom firmware to your device through the familiar iTunes method. But before you do that, you need to put the connected iOS device into Pwned DFU mode using iREB option found on the top of Sn0wbreeze’s File Menu status bar.

Step 7: Once the device is in Pwned DFU, close Sn0wbreeze and start iTunes. Select the connected device from the left hand menu. Press and hold SHIFT key + click the Restore button in iTunes. This is will prompt iTunes to let you select the desired IPSW file. Select the custom built firmware file from the Desktop and let iTunes restore it to the device.

How-to boot tethered:

Step 8:

As part of the process, Sn0wbreeze will also create an additional folder on the desktop called iBooty. This is required to boot the device into a tethered jailbreak state to run apps and tweaks from Cydia.

• Start iBooty. Select the device you want to boot into tethered mode and hit the Start button.
• Follow the onscreen instructions on iBooty to enter Pwned DFU mode on your device.
• Once you are into DFU mode, iBooty will work its way to automatically boot your device into tethered jailbreak mode.

Once you have booted into tethered mode, you can run Cydia and start installing your favorite tweaks and apps!

 

Before you Start
Compatible devices for this tutorial:
A4 based iPhone 4,
iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4th-gen only.

• This is a tethered jailbreak, and is limited to the above mentioned devices only. There is currently no untethered jailbreak available for iOS 6 yet. We are working on a solution for untethered jailbreak for IOS6 and to support latest devices.

• iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPod touch 5th-gen are not supported by this jailbreak at the moment.

• If you rely on unlock, do not update to iOS 6 yet.

Step TwoDownload iOS 6, and then update to this latest version by following our instructions.

• iPhone 4 GSM
• iPhone 4 CDMA
• iPhone 3GS

Step Three
Download the latest version of Redsn0w for the relevant operating.

• MAC -> RedSn0w 0.9.13dev4 (Mac): redsn0w_mac_0.9.13dev4.zip
• Windows -> RedSn0w 0.9.13dev4 (Windows): redsn0w_win_0.9.13dev4.zip

Step Four
Extract the contents of the downloaded compressed file and save it to a familiar location on your PC or Mac.

Step Five
Run the executable Redsn0w file, making sure to run in administrator mode if using a Windows based machine. If you are on OS X Mountain Lion, start Redsn0w by Ctrl-Click on the icon and then selecting Open from the new menu.

Step Six
Select the Extras option from the main menu of the Redsn0w interface and point it to the desired IPSW file.

Step Seven
Redsn0w has advanced dramatically with the last few major revisions and now has the power to whip through the jailbreak without much interaction. Follow the onscreen instructions (Redsn0w might ask you to enter DFU mode) to complete the jailbreak process.

Step Eight
As already mentioned above, this is a tethered jailbreak, therefore you will be required to boot into tethered-mode every time you reboot your device. This can be done by starting Redsn0w: click on the “Extras” button on screen and then simply click on “Just Boot” option and follow the on-screen instructions. Once done, you will be rebooted back into tethered-jailbreak mode.

Step NineThe current release of Redsn0w doesn’t install Cydia by default. To install cydia, follow the steps below: The following steps to install Cydia is done using Terminal on Mac. You can use the same commands on Windows using a SSH program like WinSCP.

• Note down the IP address of your device.

• Make sure your device is connected to your PC or Mac.
• Start Terminal on Mac and type: ssh root@<IP address of your device goes here>

• It will now prompt you to enter the root password. Type: alpine

• Once done, type
• wget -q -O /tmp/cyinstall.sh http://downloads.kr1sis.net/cyinstall.sh && chmod 755 /tmp/cyinstall.sh && /tmp/cyinstall.sh
• Once done, the device will reboot and the extremely familiar looking Cydia icon will be sitting on the home screen in all of its glory. Jailbreak complete.

These are instructions on how to downgrade your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G’s baseband from the iPad’s 06.15 baseband to 05.13.04 using RedSn0w for Windows. This gives you the best of both worlds: ultrasn0w unlock compatibility and a normal iPhone baseband with full GPS and the ability to use stock IPSWs again

Step 1: Create a new folder on your desktop.

In the folder place the current firmware of your device and the latest version of RedSn0w

Step 5: Navigate to the Pwnage folder on your desktop, choose the firmware IPSW we downloaded earlier, and click Open.

Click OK to confirm your selection.

Tell RedSn0w whether you have a newer or older model iPhone 3GS.

Step 6: Press Back to get back to the main menu then click the Jailbreak button.

Step 7: RedSn0w will now prepare the jailbreak data.

Step 8: Check the Downgrade from iPad baseband checkbox, uncheck Cydia if you already have it installed if not check cydia, and click Next to proceed through the normal DFU ramdisk steps.

Step 9: Plug your iPhone into the computer and make sure its OFF then click the Next button

Step 10: RedSn0w will now guide you through the steps to get into DFU mode.

Hold down both the Home button and the Power button for 10 seconds.

Release the Power button and continue holding the Home button until RedSn0w detects the device.

Step 11: Your iPhone will now be exploited with limera1n and reboot
 

Step 12: Your iPhone will now be rebooted again and RedSn0w will begin uploading the new RAM Disk and Kernel.

Step 13: RedSn0w will now inform you that its work is done. The rest of this process will take place on your device.

Step 14: After showing some scrolling text, your iPhone will display the pwnapple icon and say Flashing Baseband. THIS STEP TAKES A VERY LONG TIME to complete and there won’t be any feedback while its running. Please just let it be for the next 3-8 minutes! When the ramdisk has done its job it will reboot the phone on its own.

Step 15: Once the phone has rebooted you will be on the 05.13.04 baseband. You can then follow the unlock tutorial using ultrasn0w.

These are instructions on how to downgrade your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 3G’s baseband from the iPad’s 06.15 baseband to 05.13.04 using RedSn0w for Windows. Click OK to confirm your selection.

Tell RedSn0w whether you have a newer or older model iPhone 3GS.

Step 6: Press Back to get back to the main menu then click the Jailbreak button.

Step 7: RedSn0w will now prepare the jailbreak data.

Unlock:
The gsm iPads will not be locked to a carrier. You can use it with any carrier that suports the iPad in your country. The origin of purchase does not matter. Only CDMA ipads are locked to a carrier and impossible to unlock.

Important Note:
• Make a complete backup of your iPad using iTunes or iCloud before jailbreaking your device.
• Make sure the iPad is on IOS5.1.1
• If you have a passcode set on your iPad, make sure you disable it before following the instructions below.

Step 1: Download the software to jailbreak your iPad. Please click on the links below.

Step 2: Once the tool has been downloaded, find the compressed file and extract all of the contents like you would with any standard zip file. Place the files on your desktop for easy and quick access.

Step 3: Using a standard 30-pin connector cable, connect the device to be jailbroken with your computer.

Step 4: Launch the Absinthe tool through the executable file which you downloaded in step 1. When launched, the program will show an initial interface that will have some text-based information on it, and a “Jailbreak” button.

Step 5: If the device is connected properly as per step 3 then the Jailbreak button should be available. Press the button to begin the jailbreak process.

The initial Absinthe tool for iOS 5.0.1 accompanied with it a new method for jailbreaking iOS devices, so with that in mind, don’t be alarmed if the device looks like if it is going through a restore process. The progress bar on the Absinthe GUI will provide user feedback, please don’t touch the device at this time.

Step 6: When the payload process is complete and you’re confronted with your device’s lockscreen, the ever familiar Cydia icon will be present on the home screen. The device is now successfully jailbroken untethered and you can now install any extensions or packages via Cydia, provided that your device is supported by them.

Step One
Create a folder on your desktop

Download the latest version of RedSn0w and save it in a folder. Likewise, download the 5.0.1 firmware and save it in the folder. (Note: you do not need to download the 5.0.1 firmware if you are already on iOS 5.0.1)

Extract the RedSn0w zip file by double clicking it.

Step Two: (You can skip this step if iOS 5.0.1 is already installed on your device)
Connect your iPhone to the computer and launch iTunes. 

Select your iPhone on the left. Now hold down Shift and click the Restore button. Restore is preferred as it won’t create any wasted space on your iPhone.

Navigate to the folder on your desktop and select the 5.0.1 firmware ipsw. Click the Choose button to continue. 

iTunes will now update your iPhone to the new firmware.

Step Three
Launch the redsn0w application from the redsn0w folder we extracted earlier.

Step Four
When RedSn0w opens click the Jailbreak button

Step Five
Plug your iPhone into the computer and turn it off then click the Next button

Step Six
RedSn0w will now guide you through the steps to get into DFU mode. You just need to follow the onscreen prompts.

Hold down both the Home button and the Power button for 10 seconds.

Release the Power button and continue holding the Home button until RedSn0w detects the device.

Step Seven
Your iPhone will now reboot 

Step Eight
RedSn0w will now prepare the jailbreak data.

Step Nine
Make sure to select Cydia from the list of options and click Next.

Step Ten
Your iPhone will now be rebooted again and RedSn0w will begin uploading the new RAM Disk and Kernel.

Step Eleven
Once this is complete you will be notified that RedSn0w is done. When your iPhone finishes rebooting (5 minutes or so) it will be jailbroken with Cydia on the SpringBoard.
